It’s still September but organizers of events in November and December are putting their events in motion with requests to Renfrew Council. The Royal Canadian Legion requested Canadian flags along Raglan Street for Remembrance Day on Monday November 11, as well as the use of the platform, barricades and cenotaph in Low Square as well as barricades at the Legion parking lot. Meanwhile, the Santa Claus Parade committee is also looking for the use of Low Square and Railway Avenue on Saturday December 7 from 4pm to 8pm, in addition to street closures for the parade route and barricades. They’ve also asked for the use of a stage and metal grandstands for Railway Avenue. Renfrew council approved all requests.
