Over 220 students participated in the summer learning or “booster” program offered by the Renfrew County District School Board. Principal Lisa Murphy says this year they offered the program at McKenzie, Valour, Highview, Eganville, Cobden, Killaloe, Central and A.J Charbonneau.
The program is offered to students in senior kindergarten up to grade two. Two of the sites this year offered robotics for the kids to problem solve through technology. Murphy hopes they get funding again to be able to offer the program to at risk kids to help them build confidence for when they go back to school.
