Housing sales in Renfrew County set a new sales record last month. That’s according to the Renfrew County Real Estate Board’s August report that states that 187 units were sold last month. That’s a 10% increase from August of last year and sets a new sales record for the month. The average sale price was also up 9% in August, compared to a year ago at $258,415. These sales continue the board’s projections for this to be their best year on record for home sales. Through the first eight months of this year, a total of 1,048 homes have been sold. That is an increase of 12.5 % from the same time last year.
