Arnprior District High School has its football home opener this week. On Friday, the two teams from ADHS will play a double header. it’s the Junior Rapids taking on Carleton Place at 1pm and the Senior Rapids versus Almonte at 2:30pm. The school is having a pep rally before the game with a red and white parade through town. Students will be dismissed early to go watch football. The home opener for the senior team at Renfrew Collegiate Institute is next week. Fellowes High School in Pembroke has introduced a junior team that will play in the same league as Arnprior. In past years, the school had a varsity team for those in grades 9 to 12.
