The Renfrew Salvation Army store is closed, effectively immediately. A notice was posted to the organizations facebook page last night and gives no reason for the closure. The notice goes on to say they can no longer accept donations and they’ve directed residents to the St. Andrew’s United Church on Plaunt Street or Helping Hands Thrift Store on Veterans Way. Their Church and Family Services Department on Argyle Street South remains open. This is the second Salvation Army store to close in the Valley, Pembroke’s closed down back in March.
