Enjoy the warm weather while it lasts. The Weather Network predicts it’s going to be a cold winter. The Network has released its fall forecast and the preliminary forecast for winter, and the outlook for Eastern Ontario is for an average fall, followed by a colder than normal winter for most of the region. Chief Meteorologist Chris Scott says this winter will have some similarities to some harsher winters and there could be a delayed start to consistent winter weather, as was the case last year. Scott says while fall has burst onto the scene long before Canadians were ready for it, we are not in a free fall to winter. He says this fall will still include extended stretches of pleasant weather to go along with the inevitable period of unsettled weather.
