The 39th anniversary of the Marathon of Hope will be marked at the Mateway Activity Centre in Renfrew this weekend. The Terry Fox Run is scheduled for 10am on Sunday, with the run/walk getting underway at 11. In Cobden, the run/walk will be held at Logo’s Land from 11am until 3pm. Terry Fox’s legacy continues on in the fight against cancer. To date, the annual Terry Fox Run has raised $750 million nationwide. Terry’s brother Fred Fox tells myFM News next year will be a special milestone.
Fox goes on to say that there will be big happenings across the country to mark the 40th anniversary next year.
