An inquest will be held into the deaths of three Valley area women. Carol Culleton, Anastasia Kuzyk and Nathalie Warmerdam died during a one day rampage in September 2015. All three were found dead in their homes in Hastings and Renfrew Counties after an encounter with a man who was known to them.
Basil Borutski was later sentenced to life in prison, with no chance of parole for 70 years, for killing the three women.
Dr. David Cameron – the Regional Supervising Coroner for Inquests – says the inquiry will examine the circumstances surrounding their deaths. The jury may make recommendations aimed at preventing further deaths due to similar circumstances.
