You can get free passes into Algonquin Park from the local library in Douglas. The Admaston Bromley Public Library is offering a new feature this summer where you can sign out passes for a week at a time that gives you access to all provincial parks in Ontario. Summer student at the library, Rebecca Carty, says you do need to be a member of the library to sign the passes out.
Carty adds you can also sign out passes to the war museum in Ottawa, the museum of nature or history. She it’s a popular feature they offer at the library for those who know about it. You can ask staff at the circulation desk about how to sign out the available passes free of charge. The extended summer hours at the Admaston Bromley Public Library end this week. Next week they return to regular hours, open Monday 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Wednesday 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Saturday 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.
