There’s a new chief in Horton. Allan Cole, and though it won’t come to council until September, he began his official role August 1. Cole says he’s been with the fire department for 26 years and after serving as a proby, then a firefighter, he continued to make his way through the ranks.
He’s proud of the men and women he works with, he says without his dedicated crew, they wouldn’t have a department. He says though budgets and administration will be challenging, ensuring his fire fighters have the opportunity, training and resources to do their job is a priority.
