The Ottawa Humane Society would like to put feral cats to work on farms in the Ottawa Valley. It has launched the “Working Whiskers” program.
Communications Manager Lesley Foster tells mFM these cats are not household pet material but will fit right in on a farm.
Foster says similar programs have seen great success across the United States and Canada.
The feral cats come neutered, spayed and vaccinated and are ready to go on rodent patrol in your barn or stable.
Details of the feral cat adoption program can be found at ottawahumane.ca
