Upper Ottawa Valley OPP have released the results of a recent “Lock It Or Lose It” blitz in Whitewater Region. On July 6th, Auxiliary officers checked out vehicles parked at the Westmeath arena. A total of 194 vehicles were checked and 19 vehicles were found to be unlocked and insecure. Police say that items such as tools, bicycle parts and electronics were observed to be in plain view in some vehicles. You are reminded not to keep personal documents such as vehicle ownership, insurance, credit card invoices, or other documents containing personal information in your vehicle.
