Whitewater Region will take another step toward both a bylaw regulating recreational vehicles on vacant land, and licencing their presence.
Planner Ivan Burton presided over a July 3rd public meeting on the topic.
It’s another step in the process that began in February of this year, when a resident was denied his formal application to place an RV on his land during construction of a permanent residence.
Two members of the audience at the July meeting spoke to the report the Planner had presented in late May.
Elected representative noted that it’s not like these vehicles aren’t already there.
Burton says he will return to Council with a full report outlining what he sees as the process for both passing the bylaw and establishing a licencing regime at the July 17th municipal meeting.
