There’s no more free help for residents cleaning up flood debris in the Pontiac. Municipal staff issued a release saying on Friday July 12th the free service provided by a company helping flood victims clean up their property has come to an end. The Municipality of Pontiac has set up waste management for local residents this coming week (July 15th to 19th). Residents are asked to place sandbags at the end of their properties Sunday night. Those who do not have materials out by 7:00am Monday morning will have to bring them to the eco-centre on August 10th between noon and 4:00pm. A contractor will be picking up flood debris on Dollard, Walnut, Ash and Allen Roads. Public works crews will ensure collection is taken care of in all other locations. Residents are also reminded that the rental of waste containers for flood related materials will also end on July 19th. These containers are only to be used by flood victims and for construction residue, not including metals. The Eco-centre in the Municipality of Pontiac is located at 1975 Lac-Des-Loups Road.
