A funeral for a fallen Petawawa Soldier has taken place. On Saturday, Bombardier Patrick Labrie was given military honors and laid to rest in Gatineau, Quebec alongside 2 Royal Canadian Horse Artillery (2RCHA) members. In honour of Bombardier Labrie, his wife and family has set up a fundraiser collecting donations to Soldier On. Labrie died as a result of injuries sustained while parachuting on a multinational training training exercise in Bulgaria. Bombardier Labrie spent his whole military career working out of Garrison Petawawa. His family says Patrick loved life, friends, family, the outdoors, being physically fit and active. Soldier On helps sick and injured veterans and Canadian soldiers regain their love of fitness, sport and activity.
