Deep River Police and Military Police worked together to charge a man accused of distributing explicit images of his former spouse. According to the police briefings for the month of May as reported in the North Renfrew Times, a constable was tasked to investigate a complaint of harassment on May 3rd. Police say the man was distributing explicit images of his former spouse and with assistance from the Military Police, the male was charged. Also from the police files, on May 10th, an officer was dispatched to investigate a case of romance fraud where the suspect requested iTunes gift cards. In this instance, all bank accounts were frozen and no charges have been laid. Police investigated another case of romance fraud in May, where the complainants’ accounts were frozen to prevent any further financial loss.
