Officers in Killaloe handed out just under 100 tickets over the course of the Canada Day long weekend. The focus of the long weekend safety blitz was on aggressive driving. Between June 28th and July 1st, officers handed out a total of 71 speeding charges, three seat belt infractions, 24 moving violations under the highway traffic act and one off road vehicle charge. The OPP says to always practice safe driving habits and drive with caution. Although the campaign has ended, the OPP remain committed to keeping our roads safe.
