Environment Canada has issued a Special Weather Statement for Renfrew County as hot and humid weather is expected over the next few days. The weather statement covers Barry’s Bay, Killaloe, Petawawa, Pembroke, Cobden, Renfrew, Arnprior and Calabogie.
Maximum afternoon temperatures near 30 degrees and humidex values in the high thirties are forecast for Thursday afternoon. Environment Canada is calling for a high of 32 on Thursday, but it will feel more like 37 with the humidex. The UV index will also be 9 or very high.
Even hotter daytime temperatures into the low thirties with humidex values near 40 can be expected Friday afternoon over some areas. Overnight minimum temperatures tonight will fall below 20 degrees but will remain near or above 20 degrees Thursday night and Friday night.
A cold front early Saturday morning will bring cooler temperatures and lower humidity for the weekend.
