Christmas came to Renfrew this past weekend. It all kicked off with the tree lighting at Low Square Friday night, then Santa himself came to town Saturday for breakfast at the armouries followed by a lighted parade Saturday night. The jolly old elf wasn’t the only special guest in town this weekend. Ottawa Redblacks mascot Big Joe was on hand at Friday night’s tree lighting. RVH Foundation board chariman Jim Lemenchick was thrilled with the turnout.
Each light on the tree symbolizes a gift to the Tree of Lights campaign, the RVH Foundation’s biggest fundraiser of the year.
