It’s rarely smooth sailing when considering major investments to a town’s development. The recently pitched Recreation Centre at Ma-Te-Way in Renfrew has hit a small snag. According to Director of Parks and Recreation, Kevin Hill, all received tenders exceeded the town’s eight million dollar budget.
Hill says they don’t intend to remove any features, just perhaps switch up some of the finishes they had originally planned. He’s optimistic the project will remain on time for the current sitting elected officials to make a decision; however there is a chance it could be a vote for a new council following the October election.
