Four people have been hurt after a large tree branch collapsed on them at Fitzroy Provincial Park this afternoon. OPP say it happened at around 2:30, when about a hundred people were attending a gathering.

HIGH LEVELS OF BACTERIA CLOSES TWO COUNTY BEACHES

A pair of beaches remain closed in the Ottawa Valley due to high levels of bacteria in the water. The beach at Centennial Park in Petawawa and the Cobden beach remain closed until further notice.

For the third time in the last 18 months, Pembroke Fire crews have been called to an abandoned house on McGee Street in Pembroke. The call came in around 7 pm Thursday night and 20 firefighters responded.
