A Pembroke native witnessed firsthand the devastating earthquake in Nepal. Physiotherapist Phil Sheppard has been in Nepal for the last month volunteering at a pediatric hospital and school for disabled children.

The sounds of pipes and drums will once again echo across the town of Renfrew this Spring and Summer. The Renfrew Highland Pipes and Drums have scheduled two outdoor concerts this year; the first to take place on Tuesday June 2 in Lowe Square.

The new CBC television show "Still Standing" will be coming to Eganville from May 7th to 11th. Bonnechere Valley Mayor Jennifer Murphy confirmed the news this week that the town will be the focus of one of the episodes.

Tuesday (Apr. 28) was a great day for GearHeads in Petawawa. During the 2015 Ottawa Valley Tourism Awards, Damien McCarthy, owner of GearHeads took home the Marilyn Alexander Tourism Champion Award and GearHeads also won the Business of Distinction Award.

RENFREW COUNTY COUNCIL TO SEEK LEGAL OPINION ON PRAYER

Calling the act unlawful, Head Clara Maria Mayor Jim Gibson challenged Renfrew County Warden Peter Emon at the county council meeting Wednesday (April 29) to stop the prayer at the beginning of the official meeting.
